PROJECT SPECIFIC
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Muswellbrook Courthouse:

Addressed the non-feasibility of normal hours work and the requirement for a new metering DB. Solutions included using wireless connections for water meters and split-core CTs for easier installation without circuit interruption.

Tweed Heads Courthouse:

Managed space constraints and accessibility issues for new metering DB installations, utilising TF-55 split-core CTs across essential, non-essential, and HVAC systems.

Tamworth Courthouse

Implemented a two-pronged metering strategy to avoid disrupting critical services, utilizing wireless connections due to the geographical separation of metering points.

Coffs Harbour Courthouse:

Integrated metering for essential and non-essential services, managing extensive cable runs for EV charger DBs and implementing TF-55 CTs.

The combined efforts of Platinum Electricians and JetBlack Plumbers in installing hydraulic and energy metering systems across multiple courthouses have significantly contributed to the Department of Communities and Justice's goals of efficient resource management and operational sustainability. Through careful planning, technical innovation, and a focus on minimally invasive installation practices, the projects have successfully enhanced the monitoring capabilities, paving the way for improved management and efficiency.
