PROJECT INFORMATION

City Parklands, in collaboration with Webb Australia Group, initiated an extensive review and upgrade of the lighting systems within the tunnel along Parkland Boulevard under the Queensland Rail Main Line Track. This project, critical for enhancing both the aesthetics and safety of the main vehicle entry to the park, involved a detailed assessment of existing conditions and strategic planning for improvements.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The project scope included a comprehensive upgrade of the tunnel lighting to improve luminance and ensure safety compliance. Key activities involved:

Electrical Upgrades: Replacement of existing lighting fixtures with advanced luminaires and fire-rated cable trays. The project included extensive coordination for material procurement and logistics to minimise disruptions.
Safety and Environmental Plans: Implementation of a Work Health and Safety Management Plan and an Environmental Management Plan to address site-specific conditions and potential environmental impacts.
Traffic Management: Collaboration with Traffic Engineering Australia for managing lane closures and traffic diversions, ensuring minimal impact on the public and adherence to safety protocols.

PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS
